Cancellation Policy
Cancellation, Rescheduling & Weather Policy A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your session date and time. The retainer covers scheduling, pre-session planning, equipment preparation, location or pool coordination, and the loss of the opportunity to book another client. Rescheduling by client: Clients may reschedule once without penalty when at least 15 days’ written notice is provided, subject to availability. The retainer will transfer to the new session date, which must take place within 6 months of the original session. Cancellations by client: • More than 14 days before the session: Any payments beyond the retainer will be refunded. • 7–14 days before the session: The retainer is retained; additional payments may be credited toward one rescheduled session at the photographer’s discretion. • Fewer than 7 days before the session, late arrival of more than 30 minutes, or no-show: All payments are non-refundable and the session is forfeited. Emergency exception: In the event of a documented medical emergency, serious injury, or family emergency, the photographer may offer one reschedule or account credit at their discretion. This is not a cash-refund guarantee. Weather, water, and safety conditions: Safety comes first. The photographer may postpone, modify, or cancel a session when weather, water visibility, currents, pool conditions, marine conditions, venue restrictions, illness, or any other condition makes the session unsafe or impractical. If the photographer cancels for these reasons, the client may choose either: 1. A rescheduled date; or 2. A refund of all amounts paid, including the retainer, if rescheduling is not reasonably possible. Client readiness: The client is responsible for arriving on time, bringing required items, meeting any stated swimming/water-comfort requirements, and following all safety instructions. If a client chooses not to enter the water, is unable to participate safely, or stops the session after it begins, this is not considered photographer cancellation and no refund is due. Third-party costs: Boat charters, dive operators, pool rentals, permits, entry fees, travel, assistants, hair and makeup, specialty props, and other third-party expenses may be non-refundable once incurred. These costs will be communicated in advance whenever possible. Late starts and shortened sessions: A late arrival reduces the available shooting time and does not extend the session end time.
